The Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has formally approved a series of name change Formula One team for 2012 season.

Team Lotus, Lotus Renault and Virgin team were all given permission to change its name after a meeting of the FIA ​​Formula One Commission in Geneva last week.

The announcement marks the end of a two-year period that saw both teams race with the Lotus name.
