The Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has formally approved a series of name change Formula One team for 2012 season.
Team Lotus, Lotus Renault and Virgin team were all given permission to change its name after a meeting of the FIA Formula One Commission in Geneva last week.
CNN sponsored by Lotus Caterham now be known as F1 next year, while the Virgin Morussia be called F1.
Russian carmaker Morussia Motors has acquired a significant share of the Virgin in November 2010, and was in the presence of their logo on the car throughout the 2011 season.
Renault will also undergo changes before next year's campaign, changing its name from Lotus chassis.
The announcement marks the end of a two-year period that saw both teams race with the Lotus name.
"We are very pleased that our name change was approved chassis," Renault team manager Eric Boullier in the team's official website.
"We have always said that the interests of the sport, it is important that we eliminate the ambiguity in this matter. It 'also important that there are clearly identifiable by network teams.
"The beginning of the second century Ensto (HQ team), but not start a whole new story. Team and the experience to help us take on this challenge with a controlled process and fast. We look forward to the year 2012."
Red Bull Sebastian Vettel has won the World Championship 2011, with the Swiss team, also won the constructors' championship.
